True or Flase?
This picture is kind of absurd and entertaining. However, I feel that if one does more than glance at this photo--taking time to internalize what is being stated in the actual pictures as well as the caption--they will be required to form an opinion about the validity of the caption. This picture likely represents stereotypical images that other countries have about Americans in general. With that in mind, more pressure is put on the viewer to decide whether the caption is even a fair statement, or just an unfortunate snapshot that can represent stereotypes.
True: If one believes the caption is true, then they probably buy into American stereotypes. However, if the agreer is also American, then they would have different reasons for feeling that way. They may feel as if our society is bringing up young people with little respect for others, or they may even feel that a crueler sense of humor has unfortunately become quite acceptable.
False: If one believes that the caption is false, then they are likely to be a little bit irritated when they see the image. Oftentimes, unavoidably, people made judgments based off of what they know or think. If someone thinks that the caption is a true statement, then this picture would just justify their judgements in their own minds. However, in regard to the person who believes it to be false, they would not be pleased that the guy in the picture would do such a thing because it only reiterates a label that they do not appreciate, especially if they are American themselves. This means that those judgmental people would take their beliefs and this ‘evidence’ and apply it to any, and possibly every, America. Such a stereotype would likely bother the kind, loving, hard-working American citizen.

I would have to say that this image is false to be honest. Is it true in portraying how some Americans are...Yes agreeable. However, what make a true American I think can be found in Americas history and its leaders. What types of people lead America to achieve their freedom. What kind of person was elected to be the first President of the USA. What type of people have fought, sweat, bled, and died for the freedom of their country. Who are those striving to protect their family and provide so that their children can have opportunities to change the world and make it a better place.
